Overview

Four decades of liberal values

Since 1984, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom has advanced liberal values in Jordan, promoting democracy, human rights, civic education and a free-market economy. Working with ministries, civil society organisations and partners across the country, it has built initiatives that drive change and empower communities.

The 40th anniversary called for an identity that honours that legacy while sitting seamlessly within FNF's modern brand: one that captures the spirit of partnership and progress, and carries the foundation's vision for a freer, more prosperous Jordan into its next chapter.

The Idea

Drawn from the F

The 40 is built on the grid of FNF's own symbol. The slanted F is extended into the two numerals, keeping its angle, its rounded corners and its forward lean, so the anniversary mark reads as part of the foundation rather than an addition to it.

Blue carries the history; magenta marks the celebration. A bilingual line completes the lockup: Years of Collaboration, FNF – Jordan, أربعين عاماً من التعاون.

From concept to execution, the work spans the logo, a complete visual identity system and branding elements built to travel across digital and physical platforms.

Colour

Blue, magenta and teal

FNF blue anchors the palette, magenta brings the celebration, and teal lifts the pattern and illustration.

Pattern

A pattern of forty

Print

Invitations, letters, thanks

The system carries into print: an invitation suite wrapped in the pattern, letterhead that sets the anniversary mark beside the foundation’s own, and an illustrated thank-you card that links Jordan and Germany through their landmarks.

The Celebration

A milestone, celebrated widely

The anniversary was marked with an event that drew guests from government, civil society and the private sector. The 40th-anniversary logo stood at the centre of the celebration, carried across print, stage, signage and screen, online and off.

More than a record of FNF's achievements, it is a testament to what collaboration, innovation and shared values continue to build in Jordan and across the region.
