Overview

A new authority, a national presence

Established under Cyber Security Law No. 16 of 2019, the National Cyber Security Center is the government body charged with building, developing and regulating an effective national framework that protects the Kingdom's cyberspace from threats.

Its vision is a secure, trusted and resilient Jordanian cyberspace, and its work reaches across every sector: training and educating people to strengthen the country's resilience, and positioning Jordan as a regional and global leader in cyber security.

The Brief

Sovereign, and unmistakably digital

A new centre needed a brand that could speak for the state in a domain without borders. The identity had to carry national authority and technological conviction at once, and hold its ground everywhere the Centre appears, from an official letter to a summit stage.

The Idea

The star, rebuilt from the network

The symbol starts from the seven-pointed star of the Jordanian flag, the mark of the nation, and divides it into four parts. Each part is drawn from the language of the field it protects: binary code for data, a mesh of nodes for connection, a circuit for protection and a fingerprint for identity.

Together they describe a single effective system of cyber security working at the scale of the Kingdom, and an opening at the centre, a star held within the star, keeps the national emblem whole.

The Process

From shield to star

The route to the final mark ran through five stages: from a map of the Kingdom, to shields, seals and the royal emblem, to a circuit-drawn shield, before the seven-pointed star emerged as the one symbol that could carry the nation and the network at once.

The star itself was then refined through successive studies of division, colour and pattern, until four parts in the colours of the flag settled into the final heptagram.

The Mark

Bilingual by design

The symbol is paired with a modern bilingual wordmark in Arabic and English. A prime portrait version leads, with landscape lockups for right-to-left and left-to-right layouts, each with defined clear space and rules for use on light, dark and photographic grounds.

Colour

The flag, set for the screen

Red, green, black and white are taken directly from the Jordanian flag. A bright cyan and a deep teal bring the palette into the digital space, and a slate grey grounds every layout, so that colour on screen never strays from colour in print.

Applications

From the letterhead to the road

The system extends through a circuit-line pattern drawn from the symbol, an icon set and a data-visualisation language for reports. It is applied across stationery, social channels, the official fleet and event backdrops.

In the World

A national stage

The identity found its fullest expression at the Centre's pavilion and its Government Security Operations Center (GSOC), where His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was received. Light, circuitry and the star carried the brand through every space, from the entrance corridor to the operations wall.
